Catrice therefore called out for the term “asianification”, which means the creation of products that are inspired by the technology and ingredients used in the asian beauty industry. Some inspirations come from the very popular cushion products, but also lip tints which are super popular in Korea. I own two Catrice Aqua Ink Lip Liners and a Gloss from their Aqua Ink collection, and I will share the swatches and my impression on these products with you today.

It’s crazy how they can come up with such nice concepts for such affordable prices. Lately I’ve noticed a lot of great new lip products from Catrice. Today, I’ll talk about the Aqua Ink Lipliner. Catrice Aqua Ink Lipliner 070 Rosewood Flair is a deeply pigmented lip contour with a ball applicator to promote strong accuracy. Plus, the water-based texture causes immediate absorption and prevents smudging for optimal, long-lasting results. This formula outlines bottom and top lips swiftly, perfecting an optical illusion for those who want more volume. Indeed, there are multiple semi-permanent shades at your disposal, adequate for all skin tones. Alternatively, you can also fully cover your lips, taking advantage of particularly hydrating ingredients like Aloe Vera, Panthenol, or Vitamin E.

Catrice Aqua Ink Lip Liner

The tip is a weird little sphere, which they call a bullet applicator. It’s quite flexible and is juicy. It’s as easy to apply as with a pointed tip. I’m not sure what the function is, but maybe it prevents the tip from drying out… The difference between the colors of the two shades is not very huge once I apply them on my lips. Below you can see the two colors applied to my lips. On the right side I applied 050 and on the left side I applied 060. The finish of the lip liner is matte and it gives a very long-lasting stain on your lips. It will fade after eating and drinking all day long, but the hint of color will still be visible on your lips.

After trying that first lip stain, I wasn’t too hopeful about this one. However, this is the surprise product of this review. This is not a lip liner, despite its name. It is a long-lasting water-based lip staining product that is semi-permanent that just won’t budge. And that’s also what Catrice promises this product to be.

Tja, was soll ich sagen: Es ist wahre Liebe! Die Catrice Aqua Ink-In-Gloss Lip Stains haben mich bis auf ein paar kleine Negativpunkte total überzeugt. Ich mag die leichte Konsistenz und die intensiven Farben, und insbesondere Burgundy Sunset Waves ist ein neuer Lippenliebling geworden. The lip liner stays on my lips for almost 24-30 hours after which it starts fading away. It leaves a semi-permanent tint to my lips because of which the color is very hard to remove. I use an oil-based makeup remover and a scrub to remove the stain completely. It is a waterproof lip liner and thus, it easily sustains meals and drinks. Also, the lip liner stains my clothes and the mistakes stay for almost 2 days. The product is not at all moisturising on the lips, so it is essential to hydrate your lips before application. Overall, it is a great product. And this does what it says on the tin. It is a little bit sheer, but not overly so. I also really love this shade. There are only 6, so there isn’t a whole lot to choose from, but I like this bright watermelon red. Reminds me of one of my favorite Revlon lip butters, which has a very similar shade. The texture of this is comfortable to wear and it does wear down, but for such a creamy product it does leave a bit of a stain behind. Ich habe die beiden Lip Stains von Catrice jetzt einige Zeit getestet und – ich bin wirklich extrem angetan!
