A greatest hits collection, Snakes and Ladders / The Best of Faces, appeared in 1976, and additional retrospective albums would appear over the subsequent decades. The closing adaptation of Jerusalem seems a bit pointless, and the live rave-up I Feel So Good outlasts its welcome severely, but for the most part this is another winner from the Faces.

The group regularly toured Britain, Europe and the United States from 1970 to 1975, and were among the top-grossing live acts in that period. Ooh La La is the fourth and final studio album by the English rock band Faces , released in March 1973.

Even for a group whose boozy looseness was part of their charm, Long Player wasn't anywhere near as cohesive as it should have been.

The 2015 reissue replicates the US edition of the LP, containing minor edits not present on the UK original, most noticeably the omission of Stewart shouting "That's yer lot! A number of partial reunions of the Faces were rumored throughout the 2000s, with various one-off performances involving surviving members occurring. McLagan has fun with some boogie woogie keys and it’s the kind of thing that would be enjoyable if you were in the crowd but it’s needlessly long as an album track. Stewart sounded pretty good on this one getting the audience involved in the song, as did the recent of the band (who were all given solo spots), but stretching it our\t to just short of nine minutes didn't do anyone any favors. instead, more of a happy surprise when you just have your collection on a shuffle, or one of those "wow, haven't heard this in a while" kind of things. On 28 August 2015, Long Player was reissued in a remastered and expanded form, including two previously unreleased outtakes, "Whole Lotta Woman" and "Sham-Mozzal" (the latter actually being an early instrumental prototype of "Had Me a Real Good Time").Similar names aside, the Faces were their own outfit, and their work together brought the individual members a greater measure of long-deserved exposure.
