About this deal
Memento Mori is Depeche Mode's 15th studio album and its first as a two-piece lineup of Gahan and Gore, following co-founder Andrew “Fletch” Fletcher’s tragic passing in 2022. Strange/Strange Too will be released through SME worldwide, excluding USA, Canada and Mexico (where the title will be released through Warner Music Group).
The target is to compare the dynamics of the music and not of the media (CD, digital files or vinyl). Other than that laser-etched nit, Memento Mori is an excellent album, and a fine addition to the Depeche Mode catalog. These new European tour dates begin January 22, 2024 at London’s O2 Arena and finish April 5 after multiple nights at Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany. The ninth collection in the series, Ultra | The 12" Singles was released on 27 September 2021 with the tenth volume, Exciter | The 12" Singles, arriving on 10 June 2022. In some ways, it feels like Memento Mori inevitably offers something of a sonic career summary for Depeche Mode.
In addition, in conjunction with Live Nation's Green Nation team, Depeche Mode and Hublot will also support programs on tour and at the venues focusing on limiting use of single-use plastics, improved recycling, food and other waste reduction, and other sustainability-related initiatives.Mark Smotroff is an avid vinyl collector who has also worked in marketing communications for decades. Strange included the three main singles from Music for the Masses, the final Black Celebration single ("A Question of Time") and "Pimpf," the instrumental closing Music for the Masses.
