About this deal

But I kept dancing around Jungle because I owned and wore it in 97, and I try to move forward, not back, as there are so many lovely scents out there to experience. When I first got it I was very disappointed and thought that it was far too acidic and the spices too dry and shy. It does NOT have funky notes like body odor Caraway/Cumin or nasty Cloves as the notes breakdown suggests.

I wish I knew someone who loves it, because I will just put it apart for the whole life - not my thing all these spices and smells. I know ladies, most of you have discribed Jungle as a wintery Christmas scent, and don’t get me wrong, it really does smell like heaven when it’s cold outside and cookies are almost ready, all cinnamon buns and Lebkuchen. This is a warm and enveloping spice bomb, which can be overwhelming at first, give it an hour and it turns into this soft cinnamon hug, a chai latte pillow that you can’t get enough of. Don’t get me wrong, SL is right up my alley, and I’ll never let go of my Jeux de Peau, but Chergui is on thin ice because although beautiful, it doesn’t develop as well on me as others I have in the same vein do—if you own CD Addict, in the first and second formulations, I swear there’s a bit of Chergui going on there in between the two—and a few others are outta here. So first tip here would be to try a very small amount directly on your skin, NOT on paper, because its opening is a punch in the teeth.

But then autumn arrived, the temperature dropped, my throat got a little scratchy and I was craving something warm and uplifting. If you spray its powerful scent on your skin and hate it be prepared for it to stick around for at least 24hrs, on your clothes even after they've been washed and on your skin after a bath too!

The 5 ml I have is going to be enough to last me my lifetime, but I'm glad to have it and am pleased by the bold but not thoughtless execution. This fragrance is so warm and comforting to me, it reminds me of my favorite fall / winter drink, a chai tea latte. It imprints its scent on everything it touches, with a half-life of hours, days, even weeks on both skin and fabric. The light warm spice reminds me of ginger tea with honey and for my personal tastes would work better as a bubble bath or bar of soap, or a potpourri for the living room. While not listed in the notes I keep thinking I smell Anise, which I think is an illusion of the liquorice mixing with the other spices.I am trying to branch out and not be so closed-minded about floral notes but usually I find that if there are 3 different florals or more, then I don't enjoy the scent.

I decided to try a dab on my arm anyway, wondering if perhaps this was something that needed to be tryed on. To the point where I need to think carefully about the environments I’m going to find myself in while wearing it, lest I overwhelm people with my fragrance. What a beautiful composition of spice balanced out with creamy ylang ylang, juicy mango, powdery heliotrope, and subtle vanilla.Like its trumpeting cry as it echoes for miles, Jungle L'Elephant announces its presence–and that of its wearer–long before either can be seen. It was the only perfume I took by mistake to Marocco and I wore it in the evenings to make me feel more luxurious. it hit me, the spicy Kenzo jungle elephant covering me with it’s wild magic, I was so mesmerized by the beauty of my mum and this scent which suited her so perfectly.
