About this deal

Being with Dad is so much fun, from trips to the farm and learning to swim, to hunting for bugs and sharing warm cuddles. This can teach children about single parent families and how the number of people in a family are all different. After graduating from university with a First, she and her husband Jeff moved to an old chapel in the Usk Valley in Wales where she now illustrates children's books full-time.

Me and My Dad will keep little ones guessing right through to the final pages, and you'll love taking that journey together. Funny enough though, he actually got the other one as a gift from his sis in law anyway so I guess he was meant to have both 😂 two great books but this one was my personal favorite!

Throughout, it's obvious that Dad is a hero to his son for his strength, dependability, knowledge of forest secrets and for the security and fun that he brings to his child's life. I ended up sending the other one back and keeping this one because we are expecting our first little girl at the end of the year and this one was more fitting. This soft padded book with its sturdy pages shares a story of a little bear and the love he has for his dad. I've read it plenty of times already to my kids and like to change and add parts to see if they're paying attention.

Together with his best friends, Bell and Seb, Archie sets off on a heartwarming and unforgettable journey to try and fix his family, even if he has to break a few rules to do it. The issustrations are wonderful, and the imagination of the little girl makes this story a very worthwhile read. Nothing spectacular or really original here, but it's sweet to see such a cuddly daddy-focused book and the illustrations made me smile.
