For the yellows, I found pictures of some, powder coated to match, in an E90 forum, and it's pretty close. Widely regarded as one of the best performance saloons to ever come out of Germany, the BMW E39 M5 is thought to be one of the most reliable M cars, and with good reason.

The guy that bought it lives outside London. I am not up-to-date with the maintenance or the condition of the car but if anyone wants to know what I had done when I had it, that’s not a problem. I don’t have anything to do with the sale but if it does sell I hope it goes to a good home that plans on keeping it for along time Having been used as both a daily driver and a weekend toy, we see no reason that this E39 couldn’t return to being a high-performance daily driver for the discerning driver or BMW enthusiast, should the next owner wish to do so. I asked the customer support of one big powder supplier in the usa (prismatic powders) if they already had matched to the BMW M performance caliper colors, and send pictures of them in all colors... they said they didn't, but gave me some suggestions - curiously, the suggestion for the yellow was exactly the color code which the above mentioned yellow calipers had been powder coated with, so the guy may have a good eye. This is one of those "I bet you had no idea what you were asking" questions. BMW has offered, at one time or another, more variations of blue than any other color. Apply 2-3 coats of mid coat depending on the desire color required. Leave 10-15 minutes between coats. Leave 60 minutes before applying 2K Show Clear. Do you have any regrets whatsoever, with your color choice? If so, what do you wish you'd done differently? Facing off against the competition in the form of the Audi RS6 and Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG, the E39 arguably triumphed both of these rivals, being lighter than the RS6 and more refined than M-B’s snarling E55.

At first, I was convinced I wanted mine in white--preferably MW. But, I haven't been able to shake this attraction I have for blue. In all the pics I have seen here on the forums, LMB just looks absolutely stunning. I want to own my M3 for a long time, so I'm worried about getting it in a color that I don't enjoy, on down the line. Out on the road, this M5 behaved exactly as a well-built German performance car should - with no fuss, drama or show, but plenty of grunt when required. The car starts with ease and will happily handle repeated starts even when hot, and there was no untoward mechanical behaviour that we noted. I’ve had a few people messaging me privately and asking me for the condition of this car and whether I have a say in selling it. Please also note that localised paint repairs are common with collectable and classic cars and if they have been professionally carried out then they may be impossible to detect, even if we see the car in person. So, unless we state otherwise, please assume that any vehicle could have had remedial bodywork at some point in its life. The first time that a V8 engine had ever made its way into a production ‘M’ car, the E39 M5 saw the introduction of the now-legendary 4.9-litre, naturally aspirated, 7,000rpm redline S62 engine, which was available exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox, something which seems unthinkable in today’s world of a dual-clutch transmissions and semi-automatic ‘boxes. From Roadside Assistance to practical advice, you're covered in the UK and Continental Europe with BMW. Now, my plan is to get them sandblasted, and then powdercoated (I appreciate the quality look and durability of those jobs). I won't go into too much details as I might do a project thread as there's still things I'd like to do to it but for now I thought I'd share some pics with fellow car enthusiasts

I sold the car six months ago but I have only seen it once since then and that was maybe 2 weeks after selling it. I changed the oil for him after 500 miles of the rod bearing shells being changed by Darragh at EverythingM3's. This is the first time I have fitted CSL wheels to any of my M3's and I'm happy I went for this wheels this time. However: the car sits lower to the ground than other vehicles I've had, and it is a magnet for road pebbles and debris and my only regret is that I did not get a lower front and front-of-hood clear bra installed. But I think that's a good idea regardless of paint color. The hexadecimal color code #2a4362 is a medium dark shade of cyan-blue. In the RGB color model #2a4362 is comprised of 16.47% red, 26.27% green and 38.43% blue. In the HSL color space #2a4362 has a hue of 213° (degrees), 40% saturation and 27% lightness. This color has an approximate wavelength of 476.8 nm. I get compliments on the color CONSTANTLY, from people of both genders, all age groups, and all levels of car enthusiasm. People have walked out of their way to come over to my car and tell me how much they like the color, sometimes even saying that they like this particular shade of blue as opposed to just liking blue cars -- and that includes BMW enthusiasts who can tell it apart from Interlagos (aka "blurple").Note that includes at least a few Mini colors. Let's agree to ignore Rolls Royce, which has something like 40,000+ color options and probably at least another five or six blues. :yikes: This car paint is manufactured to the highest standards by International Paint Suppliers - a trusted name in refinishing products with over 25 years experience in colour mixing. Used in thousands of bodyshops worldwide, this Automotive quality car paint is UV, rust and dust resistant. Apply 2-3 coats of Base coat leaving 10-15 minutes between coats. Leave 30 minutes before applying mid coat. Throughout its lifetime, the M5 continued to impress both journalists and enthusiasts, as BMW constantly tinkered with the appearance and mechanicals of their ‘super saloon’ in the pursuit of perfection. In 2000, Car and Driver magazine in the US perhaps summed up the E39 best, simply calling it “the most desirable sedan (saloon) in the world” which we’d say is high praise indeed.
