Previously, the fondant Creme Egg center was available as a filling in the Cadbury Dairy Milk line, but that has since then been phased out with the Creme Egg Twisted replacing it. The campaign featured various vignettes of a Creme Egg being destroyed by household implements – such as a kitchen blender or hairdryer – only to mutate into an anthropomorphised Twisted bar, which shouted ‘Goo!

Yes, true to style my first review of the year is in stark contrast to all the festive goodies of the last few weeks, and is Easter-themed. Light - Have a job that involves long periods of sitting (office-based / driving) or are home-based and sitting for much of the day. It’s nice that you can break the bar into a few sections as you eat, so that you don’t really have to consume the whole thing in one shot, unlike a creme egg. Ingredients: Milk, sugar, cocoa butter, glucose syrup, glucose fructose syrup, whey powder, cocoa mass, vegetable fats, emulsifiers, humectant, colour, flavourings. However, excitement for Twisted waned over time, leading to Cadbury’s decision to withdraw the product four years later. Sugar, MILK, glucose syrup, cocoa butter, invert sugar syrup, whey powder (from MILK), cocoa mass, vegetable fats (palm, shea), emulsifier (E442), dried EGG white, flavourings, colour (paprika extract). Two years ago, they came out with “ Cadbury Dairy Milk with Creme Egg“, which was nice, but the name didn’t exactly roll off the tongue quite as easily as a Creme Egg would.

The creamy, milky taste of the chocolate, even though it is on the sweeter side, is a great contrast to the sugary filling and balances it out without dominating it. All foods are fine within the context of a balanced diet, but this is a good way to get more volume of food for your calories! Turns out that packaging was very misleading because nothing could prepare me for the horror that was lurking inside. To ensure you are reviewing the most up to date information PLEASE CHECK THE PRODUCT PACKAGING BEFORE CONSUMPTION. Because there’s no clear definition between the chunks, you get more of it than you did in the old Dairy Milk bar. When I opened the wrapper, I saw that the bottom of the bar was flat, and it had a dome-shaped profile, with a series of 8 ribs jutting out as the thickness fluctuated along the way. Twisting that incredible gooey egg we all adore, it's no longer an Easter treat, but an all-year round yum-fest! So, more than a decade after Twisted’s exit, is Creme Egg’s latest chocolate bar better positioned for success?

Typical jobs: hospital/ward nurse, waitressing in a busy restaurant, cleaner, porter, labourer/construction worker, gardener, farm worker. If it does signal the start of a move away from the Dairy Milk branding, than that will give them much more flexibility in the future. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.I bit in to find that the chocolate was thickest at the bottom, with a thinner (but still fairly thick) chocolate shell all around the top.

MILK, sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, glucose syrup, glucose-fructose syrup, whey powder (from MILK), vegetable fats (palm, shea), humectant (glycerol), emulsifier (E442), colour (paprika extract), flavourings. It’s a hollow log of their classic milk chocolate that is filled up with a yellow and white creme egg center. If you've sorely missed Cadbury Dream White Chocolate since it was withdrawn from UK shelves many years ago, fear not, it's going to be back for Summer, albeit in a colder form - yes, ice cream! when I opened the tin it was like opening something from a horror film, discovering the mouldy body of an ancient alien creature or other such evil.Inside, that leaves quite a bit of room for that yummy, sickly, sticky, icky Creme Egg fondant filling. I think flies would even turn their nose up at this thing, which looked like rotten infested seaweed. It was overkill in fact, and lacking the charm of a regular Creme Egg which is satisfying to bite into. These are apparently popular in other parts of the word so maybe not as weird as they may seem to us Brits.
