When it came to the “Tennis Bitches,” he picked the leader of the pack: fitness fanatic, mother of two, and self-proclaimed trophy wife, Kimberly Bryant. I knew it would be "real housewives tea lite" as Andy Cohen is publishing the book, but figured it would be a fun ride. or they’d sit and watch the women take it upon themselves to create drama for the cameras, instead of being like “we want real shit, not manufactured bullshit”, which is what they’d do if they actually cared about the reality of it.

Too much of what was written has been biased for certain housewives while trying too hard to discredit others. I have enjoyed some of the ladies over the years but this was just maybe too much information for a sort-of fan. some women are relentlessly criticized and just outright trashed, while other women who have done the same things or worse are barely even spoken about. The biggest flaw of this book is it was written prior to RHOSLC’s meteoric rise (they don’t even get a chapter or mention! This exhaustive oral history features dishy interviews with 185 cast and crew members behind the Bravo phenomenon. And Coto is a beautiful place—five thousand homes, fifteen thousand people, it’s the largest gated community in America.

i like watching housewives and i get more invested in it than i would like (this review is proof of that), but this book is not the good kind of trash. It was fun to read how the Housewives franchise started but became receptive breaking down every city and every season. The definitive oral history of the hit television franchise, from its unlikely start in the gated communities of Orange County to the pop culture behemoth it has become, spanning eight cities, hundreds of cast members, and millions of fans. com, while Alex launched a vlog where she'd critique episodes of RHONY and talk about areas where she thought production had gotten involved. This review will also be gif-tastic because you can’t read and review a housewives book without housewives gifs.

All these archetypes started appearing for me, and I had an idea to do a short film that was kind of a send-up of life in affluent suburbia; something tongue-in-cheek and a little parodistic. Things only got worse as the season progressed, resulting in an "epic meltdown backstage" at the reunion. Executive producer Lucilla D'Agostino spent the next five days contacting lawyers and officials in the Domincan Republic to try and help. Fourteen years into The Real Housewives of Orange County, Vicki Gunvalson was moved to a "friend of" role.

If a cast member seemed to get off easy, I would bet you'll find a photo of the author and the cast member together within a ten-second Google. When you cover years of family breakups, addiction, suicide and best friends falling out over 75 pages it really weighs on you.The author is also clearly very good at interviews and can ask the right questions to get a fun story. There were some very important housewives not interviewed that I think should have been, I understand that they may have declined it. and deep dives into the most explosive vacation moments in the show’s history, this is your VIP pass to the lives behind the glam squads, talking heads, and paparazzi shots. The first season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ended on an awful note for Kim and Kyle Richards—so awful, in fact, that the sisters were "begging" both the production company and Bravo to "take the scene out of the show," Andy Cohen revealed in Not All Diamonds and Rosé.

Production ultimately decided to re-edit the first episode, bringing the cast together to talk about what happened, and allowing Taylor to screen what was going to air. But keep in mind that this makes it more like government-mandated propaganda versus a true tell-all.This is the whole story straight from the lips of the women and men who have made it one of America’s favorite television shows.
