This is the most classic look for the Hulk – rippling muscles, lime-green skin, and purple shorts. Even his ruffled brow and gritted teeth in this Funko Pop capture the character’s most iconic look from his decades-long history in the comics. Possibly the best Venom Funko Pop combo, the Venomised Hulk (#366) is so exciting to look at, well moulded and well painted, it deserves a round of applause to its design team. Whilst the suit is a little uninspiring, the head sculpt is excellent. I love the grey hairs on the side of his head, showing an ageing Hulk. The pose isn’t half bad either. In my opinion, this is the best Hulk Funko Pop (#68) on this Funko Blog list if you’re after a ‘standard’ version of the green beast.

The Hulkbuster vs Hulk Movie Moments (#394) Funko is taken from the Avengers 2 movie (Age of Ultron), when Tony Stark is forced to use the giant Iron Man suit to stop a crazed Hulk from destroying the city. The real draw here is of course the Iron Gauntlet. Detailing is superb, with all six stones in place and great detailing on the fingers, electronics and metalwork. Thor Ragnarok is one of the best Marvel movies in my opinion and made way for some great character designs, most notably for Hulk. This Hulk Funko Pop (#451) wearing the new flight suit seen at the start of the movie is much better. This Hulk Pop is more difficult to get hold of as it is a GameStop exclusive, however out of the two it’s my least favourite, with Hulk wearing what looks like a Tron suit. The level of detail on this is superb; the white battle paint is wonderfully printed, the body armour is ridiculously intricate from top to bottom – lines, panels, straps and shoulder plate are just fantastic and the weapon has indents along the blade too. Perfect for the festive season, this Holiday Hulk Funko Pop (#398) would make a great decoration at Christmas time. The Pop is pretty straightforward in design, though the main attraction here is the green tint transition that Banner gets when he brings out the Hulk (or tries to in this case). It’s a well detailed design – the stance of the figure is pretty cool, with the hair matching all the Hulk Pops since the Ragnarok movie.

One of the best Marvel Funko Pops from one of the best Marvel movies and a big favourite in the Funko Blog. This ‘Casual’ Hulk Funko Pop (#253) is when Hulk is in his bedchamber after fighting with Thor. Detailing on this is notably his beads and loin cloth (there isn’t much else). Still, a great design though the Gladiator Hulk below is the real crowd pleaser. Each Pop is wonderfully designed. The Hulk wearing his signature purple pants, bulging muscles and angry face is one of the best stances available for his character, as is Hulkbuster, who steals the show in terms of intricate details for its armour and line work. This is a gorgeous Pop scene, capturing the moment where the two beasts are about to connect the ultimate Marvel fist bump with insane force. Unfortunately, due to legal issues wrapped up with Universal over the film rights to the Hulk character, Marvel Studios hasn’t been able to give Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner his own solo movie. So, instead, they gave him a co-starring role in Thor: Ragnarok alongside the titular God of Thunder. Thor has his hammer destroyed and gets booted out of Asgard.

When Marvel Studios celebrated 10 years of the MCU last year, Funko decided to bring out a line of Funko Pops featuring of all the franchise’s most beloved characters with a “Gold Chrome” coating. The head sculpt for this Hulk Pop has been used since Thor Ragnarok, which is by no means a bad thing – it’s one of the best Funko have done. The heavy-set brow and snarling teeth (and his green skin obviously) are exactly what you need to show an angry Hulk.

The Hulk barely appeared in Avengers: Infinity War. The character’s arc took a turn as he was killed by Thanos and then resurrected by Heimdall. After that, the green meanie refused to come out, partly because he was scared to get killed again and partly because he felt underappreciated by Bruce Banner, who only ever wanted him to come out when there was a fight. The head sculpt is the same as the above, however the suit is far more interesting, with the sharp indents across the chest and arms and legs. The separation of the colours is great too. Good detail and build quality, if you’re just after a generic Avengers collection, then this Marvel Pop Vinyl is a worthy edition. It is stunning though, and perhaps the most striking in this collection – the metallic sheen is gorgeous. This is more of a Spiderman Pop than a Hulk, but it had to be included in this list as it’s awesome. There is a staggering amount of detail here for a Pop figure and it shows just by looking at the first Hulk Pop (bottom of this list) how far they’ve come in terms of design.

Funko Avengers Infinity War Vinyl Figure - Hulkbuster 294 Pop

The 6″ Super-sized Pop is a wonderful set piece for any Marvel collection. Detailing on the new Banner/Hulk fusion sees this version of the Avenger with a cool hairdo with some greys on the side and bushy eyebrows. The suit is skin-tight in the movie, so no textures here, just a funky looking nano-suit paint job.

Like the armour, the helmet is intricately designed with fantastic moulding and the Roman Centurion plume is exceptional – also it’s something you won’t see on any Pop ever. The over-wieldy engine hammer (thing) has been given the same care and attention to detail too.
