Moreover, evidence of transformation within us is seen in the way we increasingly reflect the likeness and glory of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18). For as the apostle Paul said, “You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ” (Romans 8:9). To be considered as children of God, we must be led by the Spirit of God. And it is through the power of God’s Spirit that Christ lives within us. The transformed life mirrors the attitude of the apostle Paul: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20). It’s easy to ignore our fears and hope that they will go away. Unfortunately, it does not work like that. This was not a new idea in the New testament or just with Jesus, listen to how the psalmist speak about the commands of God:

This is all about you choosing to step out of your comfort zone and see limitations from a different perspective. We could paraphrase v. 3 like this: “ This is the love of God: that we love others, especially his children. A life of sacrificial Christ-like love is not burdensome; it’s what we deeply desire to do as an expression of our love for the Father.” (J. Piper) First, Paul shows the changes that God works in us through the gospel (4:20-21) and then he shows us how the process of changes works in our ongoing experience (4:22-24). Through the gospel message of Christ, we learn “to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness” (Ephesians 4:22-24). “For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God” (Romans 8:13-14). It’s called “absolute awareness” or ultimate consciousness, and Ken claims that “these states are about the nature of the nature, it’s something substantial, and you’re directly and immediately one with them.” Examples of Personal Transformation That means if you’re carrying around grudges that are filling you with anger, it’s time to let go and forgive those who have wronged you. The negativity harms no one but yourself, and letting go will be sweet freedom from pain that’s simply unnecessary.

Find your courage, love yourself, and step out and do something crazy. Don’t worry about what anyone thinks or whether it is the right thing to do. If it feels right, act on it and go create the life you love. 9. Live in the Moment Be aware of potential pitfalls before they arise. But again, don't dwell on the bad things – just write them down and move onto the next step. Step 6. Choose Your "One Thing" Finally, a transformed life is characterized by a spirit of service. In Mark 10:45 (NKJV), Jesus tells us that He did not come to be served, but to serve. When we are transformed, we follow His example and seek to serve others as a reflection of our love for Him. Today we are going to talk about the essential elements of a transformed life. Many organizations today have this as their motto: banks, universities and even churches. But the very business of God is turning your life into something new. 2 Corinthians 5:17, says, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.” Service is not just about doing good deeds; it’s about living out the love of Christ. When we serve others, we show them that they are valuable and loved by God. We serve with humility and kindness, not seeking recognition or reward. Service is a way we can make a difference in the world and bring glory to God. Conclusion

Why does Paul here refer to the spirit of your mind? Why not just, be renewed in your mind (as in Rom. 12:2)? Some interpret “spirit” as the Holy Spirit, but the phrase, “of your mind” doesn’t fit with this. The Spirit isn’t a part of our minds. Others take it as the human spirit, but Paul does not use “spirit” in that way anywhere else in Ephesians. Some think that “spirit” is in apposition to “mind,” so that it means, “the spirit, which is your mind.” But, why would he say it that way? Others take it to mean, “the attitude or disposition of your mind.” Some say that it simply refers to your inner being. Whatever it is, as soon as you think of an idea, there may be a voice in your head that tells you all the reasons why your idea is 'stupid,''unrealistic,' or 'will never work.'
