FYI: it only makes you look pretentious while highlighting your lack of skill in writing a story that resonates. LET'S SUSPEND DISBELIEF and pretend it's possible that none of them realized they weren't who they thought they were. Fast-forward a few years and they’re reunited, only the tables have turned and the dynamics have once again shifted.I absolutely loved Devious Lies when I read it back in 2019, and flipping through the pages while prepping for this post just reminded me how engrossed in the story I was at the time. I love thé pace, the use of language, the passion, romance and also the thoughtful way the pages come together. all of that was a lot, but if you made it this far…i will be telling you guys the very few things i liked.
