About this deal

I avoid to spray it on coats or jackets because the stuff will stick to the garments for days ruining my chances of enjoying a real perfume.

The note is thinner, drier, more scratchy and sharp, and much less smooth than it is in either Interlude or Kalemat. I think Sehr el Kalemat might be a good choice for someone looking for an inexpensive, dry, woody, slightly masculine Middle Eastern fragrance that bears a microscopic similarity to Amouage’s costly Interlude Man. The package box so luxurious, but the bottle itself is so cheap with cheap plastic cap, cheap sprayer and cheap plastic spine (on a bottle side). The frankincense smells nothing like that dirty or ashtray kind you'd expect in most designer fragrances.

I really think that having both a love of food and an extensive palate helps with picking out scents or their nuances. Now, as I repeat often, my skin amplifies base elements and sweetness, so that is perhaps the cause, as Sehr el Kalemat is not generally a super-sweet (let alone a gourmand) fragrance for most of its life.

In contrast, Interlude has a green, herbal component that isn’t evident on my skin with either Arabian Oud brother. There aren’t really any in-depth, detailed reviews for Sehr el Kalemat that I can provide for comparative purposes. I don’t know if the notes are the result of the very fruited, purple patchouli, of the “pink pepper” berries mentioned in one list, of both elements together, or something else entirely.

I truly did find myself bewildered at one point because Sehr el Kalemat seemed so much sweeter than regular Kalemat, but it was also drier at quite a few points. Read about this perfume in other languages: Deutsch, Español, Français, Čeština, Italiano, Русский, Polski, Português, Ελληνικά, 汉语, Nederlands, Srpski, Română, العربية, Українська, Монгол, עברית. I hope to re-visit this fragrance soon as I still remember how amazing this smelt and even though I don't remember the exact scent, the memory of this being unique and besotting still remains with me.

Projection - as is the case with all good oud fragrances - is of course insanely strong, while longevity is unbelievable at over 12 hours with only 1 spray! But he quickly becomes sweeter, amber which smells excellent joins and harmonizes perfectly with the other components! On my 3rd bottle,(my cousins keep nicking it when they come to visit and find out which perfume i'm always wearing)- they say "it smells like you got money"i'm not too good smelling/naming individual notes but it reminds my of black berry mixed with honey from bees that feed only on roses. It has almost a gourmand oud type of aroma at the start, then dries down and adds a suede leather and cinnamon note to the already divine mix, even though neither of these notes are listed. Funny thing: I've had this scent for about three years, but it has been sitting in the back of my closet. Few hours later, another female colleague was talking to another colleagues across my desk opposite to where I was sitting.

Seher al Kalemat is one of the most opulent fragrances I have encountered so far, especially considering the short list of notes. And then about an hour the Oud and the Vanilla and the amber and the Basil rise up imploding from your skin into your aura. This is defenitily a fragrance reccomended for people who want to get in oudh fragrance but don't know what would be appealing to others as well. The oud also acts strongly here and the other mentioned notes are for support and adding more mystery to the composition. What is the luxury version of this, there must be something that smells like this but 10x more luxurious, and more expensive, and does anybody know if there is something that smells like this with a tiny bit of smokiness, (not tobacco or cigarettes, but like you go out and there is the snell of burnt wood/paper in the atmosphere or a distant BBQ sought of smoke), this one of my favourites.for luxurious box, and 4/10 for bottle 🤷🏻♂️ Cheap plastic cap and poor quality spray, hard to press and difficult to control spray.
