I thought the book is well made its lovely, its nicely presented with further details on the subject and with the added Megan's experiences etc.Most well-known for presenting the BAFTA award-winning BBC Springwatch series and Animal Park , Megan is a passionate science communicator and biodiversity activist. As well as some of the well known species that are teetering on the edge of the abyss that is extinction, she also covers some lesser known species. It examines different ecosystems, the major threats to their inhabitants and steps being taken towards conservation.

Pretty sound balance in coupling her own experiences with the essential facts for each of the species that are covered. This book takes just 20 of these amazing creatures, from the 'celebrities' of the red list – the tigers, the northern white rhino, the kakapo – to the lesser-known, and sometimes lesser loved ones, and paints a portrait of them, their world, and the people trying to protect them. Packed full of wonderful pictures and deep insights into the lives of the beautiful plants and creatures the planet is in grave danger of losing - don't miss this book!
