Description

A fun cooperative game: Dinosaur Escape by Peaceful Kingdom. It is for 2-4 players so it’s a great game for small party. 10. Touch Dino Egg (Football) You could also turn it into a treasure hunt. Print dinosaur footprints and tape them to the floor to lead the little hunters to the treasure. The easiest and most delicious party favor is a sweet treat. Kids would love that. Some parents not so much.

If the guest answers yes, you get another turn! You may inquire or guess the name of the same guest or a different guest. If the guest’s answer is no, your turn is over. To add an extra layer to the gameplay, 3 dinos will be randomly assigned a quirk; one will always lie, another always answers “no” whilst yet another will switch their answers (“yes, “no”, “yes”, “no”). As such, just because Winston is telling you that he’s enjoying a lovely cup of tea don’t believe him just yet… he may be a bold faced liar! As a hint, to really soak in the theme it’s best to make the questions as flamboyant and conversational as possible and it’s here where each player can put their personal touch on the gameplay. “Are You Being Served?” Dinosaur Tea Party strikes a balance between simplicity and strategy. While the mechanics are straightforward, the game requires thoughtful decision-making and observation. Crafting the right questions and interpreting the responses is crucial to deducing the identities of the other players. This level of complexity ensures an enjoyable experience for a wide range of players. Now you’ve got lots of ideas for the most amazing dinosaur party ever! Way more than the 27 I promised. Those add a lot of fun to the game. They keep the game from being straight out open information. To get that extra edge, players should always keep those quirks in mind. And we love it when we get a dinosaur card showing us we’re one of the dinosaurs with a quirk. The Switches Answers quirk is a fun one to play. I’m just amazed how much even the little kids know about dinosaurs. Test their knowledge with one of the many dinosaur quizzes out there. 5. Dinosaur Egg and Spoon Race It’s really fun when traits are narrowed down enough so that you can figure it out because of your own dinosaur traits. For example, one guest may be narrowed down enough to know it could be between two dinosaurs. But if you’re one of those dinosaurs, then you know exactly who they are.

Dinosaur Tea Party is another game that cries out for multiple plays in a row. We have yet to get away with just playing the game once. That’s because it’s kind of addicting! I just don’t think my teenage daughters would be very thrilled with that party theme. So, I’ll leave it to you to host the most exciting dinosaur party! It’s also fun asking and answering questions with more than just “are you eating?” or “do you have spots” and “yes” and “no”. Instead we like throwing in more thematic questions and answers such as “Why on earth did you let your pet come with you? How disgusting.” and responding, “Oh, I’m sorry. You must have me confused with someone else because I most certainly didn’t bring a pet with me. My pet hates these type of parties.” Dinosaur Tea Party’s gameplay revolves around deduction and clever questioning. Players take turns asking yes-or-no questions to deduce the identities of other dinosaurs. The key lies in crafting strategic questions that reveal information while keeping one’s own identity concealed. This delicate balance of deduction and deception adds depth and excitement to each turn. Your chosen guest will answer YES or NO. Example: “Oh, heavens no, I don’t have the face for a hat.” The guest takes that trait token from their pile and puts it in front of them, showing the YES or NO side.Dinosaur Tea Party is a light deduction game where players try to be the first to figure out 3 of the other guests’ names. Players do so by narrowing down the various traits of each dinosaur at the tea party to discover who the guests may be. I kept putting off to write this party plan since I’m not that big on dinosaurs but after searching for ideas and coming up with ideas I kind of warmed up to the idea of having a dinosaur party.

As much as I enjoy playing the game, what I really find fascinating is watching my kids process information at hand to narrow down a guess. It’s a very rewarding experience watching your kids think through how to narrow down each player’s identity. In either case, the guest who answered takes their matching trait token and places it in front of them to indicate their response. If they answered Yes, they place it with the trait showing. If they answered No, the place it with the big X over the trait showing. Dinosaur Tea Party is a really impressive deduction game that was created for families and people who can laugh at themselves. I love the way Restoration uses the attribute tiles in the game because it means that people with not so great memories aren’t at a disadvantage. Each tile has an icon on one side and the same icon with an X over the top on the other side. If a players dinosaur is not showing it’s teeth, they flip the tile to the side with an X over the teeth and leave it in front of them.Politely ask another guest if they have a certain trait. Example: “Hello, luv. Wonderful party, isn’t it? Are you, perchance, wearing a hat?” Let’s talk a moment about the game components. As mentioned already, the art is absolutely gorgeous; each character is unique and has their own look and feel. All of the little intricate details add to the overall look of dino refinery. As each player answers their opponents questions they will place a token in front of them indicating their answer. Due to this you will gradually build a picture that this particular dinosaur is in an orange room, eating cake and bearing their pearly whites. I can’t guarantee that it won’t get crazy during the party with all the dino fans stomping and chomping but having a plan will certainly help! Of course, boys might enjoy a donuts-and-dinos party too. After all, boys are known for loving food. On your turn, ask another player “are you wearing a hat?” Now, in most families this question would be fine. But in our home, we need to see some character when playing Dinosaur Tea Party. “Kind sir, my eyes are not so good. Is that a hat on your head? If so it’s truly the icing on the cake of your wardrobe!” The player who was asked the question then gives an answer and places the corresponding tile in front of them at the table.

For this game you simply printout images of dinosaurs and ask each team to identify them. Whichever team gets most correct, wins. I’m not a fan of toys on food but I have to admit adding a couple of dinosaur figurines would look awesome. Always Says No: When a player asks about a trait, this dinosaur must always answer No (even if the correct answer would be Yes). Add excitement to your party with jumbo realistic looking dinosaur figurines placed on tables with fake or real plants. We’ve played Dinosaur Tea Party with adults and kids at 3, 4 and 5 players and have enjoyed this game so much. The kids ask to play every night and it’s hard to say no to something that gets our family laughing and having fun as we come to the end of a long day.
