The show is based on the game series, but rather than being a direct adaptation of any of the games it uses characters and concepts from the games (especially Kirby's Dream Land, Kirby's Adventure, and Kirby Super Star) to tell its own story. Gameplay [ edit ] Kirby can gain the properties of enemies or objects he eats. For example; by inhaling a sword-wielding foe, Kirby becomes a skilled swordsman: Sword Kirby.
