About this deal

And for those that want to continue reading about James and Penny Hunter, The Light to my Darkness series includes: Taboo scandal aside, there were so many red flags in their month long relationship. I hate it when an author forces an engagement/marriage just to speed up a plot line. It's okay to date, it's more believable. And you have like 5 more books coming along anyway. Matthew Caldwell never forgot about me. I know that now. And a part of me wants to give us a second chance. When I’m in his arms, I feel 16 again. He takes away my pain. But I’m worried he’ll never forgive me… I loved her when she was a Sanders. I loved her when she was a Pruitt. And even though I’m angry, I know I’ll love her now, as a Miller. But it’s about time I made her a Caldwell.

He was such a gentleman and he knew how to treat a woman... And as i found out later, he was like a wild beast on sex!!! I actually really liked him. He was broody, and mysterious, but also kind of sweet. After everything, I still believe that he’s hiding something, and after the ending, I’m not sure whether he really has the right to act like that. We’ll see in the next book though whether I’m right or not. I still like him though and the moment between them both were on fire. James Hunter gave up his billionaire lifestyle in NYC to become a professor. The easiest new rule to follow: don’t fraternize with the students. But he never expected to be teaching such a beautiful student. In 2019, Ryan and I made the crazy decision to both go full-time working on the business. We took the leap together as a team. And as soon as it was our sole focus…it exploded. We left off with a cliffhanger at the end of this story, so I'll be jumping right into the next book. I was really torn with rating this book. Even while writing this review, I'm torn. I enjoyed this book and it proved to be a fast read. I have also read some of the later books in the series and finally got the chance to read the book which started the series. I can see where the Author has grown as a writer. For me this was fun, escapism reading. This is a forbidden student/teacher romance. Penny is a college sophomore and literally runs into James Hunter at a coffee shop. They have instant chemistry but then she discovers he is her professor. Hunter is a billionaire, alpha man, who has a filthy mouth and pushes all of Penny’s innocent buttons. Penny and James each have some hang-ups thus the series is filled with many difficulties as their relationship progresses. It also has a lot of suspense. Everyone loves Professor Hunter. He’s tall, dark, and handsome. And completely unobtainable. But it’s the secrets hiding behind his deep brown eyes that allures Penny. Secrets darker than she could ever imagine.

Penny and her professor are doing a bit of dating in this installment of the series, which allows for glimpses into the mysterious Professor Hunter, but it also increases the tension a bit... Because their relationship must stay a secret. Penny feels like she has lost herself in James’s world. His home, his friends, his money that pays her tuition – and now his company that she works for. She loves James dearly and his friends have become a family of sorts. That Mrs. And Mrs. Hunter have refused to meet her to this day has been a hardship on both James and Penny. His parents still like Isabella in spite of the divorce, and their attendance at the upcoming nuptials is in question. And for God's sake!!! Why in the hell this girl was calling her lover Professor Hunter even in their most intimate moments??? I will never get oner this shit!!! Compelling — that’s maybe the best word I can use to describe this book! Because, I just couldn’t put it down - I couldn’t stop reading it - plus, I didn’t want to!!

Customer reviews

So, Penny was highly annoying and James was bleh. Don't get me wrong, he had his moments, but I felt he was more developed as a secondary character in the Empire High books, than he was in his own series. By Addiction, we're still fairly in the dark about Isabella's craziness and James' past addiction. Had I not already had that prior knowledge, I wouldn't have been sold on any of it.

You know, here there was all those sexy scenes and the builting of beautiful memories that they will be their companion for after... James Hunter was a sexy, handsome, intelligent and very bold man. In the most part of the book, he was having this mysterious aura to surround him!!! Brownies were second only to condoms on my list of favorite things that come in foil. A lot that went down in Part 3 of Temptation, so let's get going... Wow you have no idea how much i adore forbidden romances and a theme like professor/student drew me immediately. Well this one particularly was a roller-coaster of emotions, hot scenes and really enjoyable, interesting play between our two main characters. There were so many hidden truths beside James and Penny and i want so badly for those two to find their HEA together...Un Forbidden romance ambientato nel college, che racconta di un amore proibito tra un insegnante e la sua giovane studentessa. If you want to add a new one... that's fine. As long as it's not a duplicate to one that's already there and as long as it only related to bloggers who blog about books. It's a new semester, and sophomore Penny Taylor, 19, meets a handsome young man when he collides with her in a coffee shop, spilling a cold beverage on her shirt. He gives Penny his sweater in compensation. The next day, Penny—a marketing major who dreads public speaking—slides into her seat for Comm 212—Oral Communication in Business. The good-looking stranger turns out to be her professor, James Hunter. Tyler Stevens, an attractive fellow student, invites Penny to a fraternity party, where she enjoys dancing and kissing him. But when Tyler ignores her "no" to sex and holds her down, she knees him in the groin, getting called a bitch in return. Leaving the party in tears, Penny is intercepted by Hunter, who offers her a ride home; when he assumes she's a senior, she doesn't correct him. The two soon begin flirting, sometimes in class. As the semester goes on, the dalliance between Hunter and Penny ripens into a full-blown erotic affair, featuring rough, often semipublic sex that she loves. Trust issues and miscommunication get in the way, but as the novel ends, hope remains alive for the couple. Their story continues in three more volumes. Smoak ( A Whirlwind of Color, 2018, etc.) provides evocative, well-written (avoiding twee or overly crude phrasing) sex scenes for those who appreciate male dominance and the thrill of almost getting caught. For some, these pluses will be sufficient, but the book is filled with romance-novel clichés: accidental first meeting; obstacles that a moment's communication could clear up; the hero's enormous wealth; his reason for liking Penny (she's not afraid to speak her mind). The main characters have puzzling flaws: Hunter is a terrible professor, running his class like a group therapy session and announcing proudly that he's an easy grader who wants students to think of him as a "peer." Penny, meanwhile, easily accepts Tyler's apologies for her near rape and comes to consider him a best friend. But he never expected to be teaching such a beautiful student. He has to resist her. He needs to walk away. Penny deserves better than a man with his demons. But she’s daring him to cross the line. And he’s never been one to resist temptation. Book 1: Boring and innocent but beautiful college girl crushes on her professor. Professor lusts after dull college girl who is terrible at public speaking but is also super duper hot (all the boys want Penny) and makes all of her speeches about how much she wants him to give it to her.

It helps us who follow that topic to know the time frames. I wasn't a bad girl, but I wanted to be bad for him. Doesn't that make me bad? I wanted to do things with him that would surely get him fired. The story had a steady pace to it, and I was enjoying myself. The tension was building between Penny and Professor Hunter, and just when I though I would pass out from all the UST... The two had their moment.I was really in love with the emotions that this book brought out if me with the crying and laughing *about breaking up, marriage, gun shot. You know*. Penny meets a sexy, handsome man in a coffee shop and they have an instant chemistry. On the first day of her public speaking course at college, the man is revealed as her new professor of communication. Will they be able to keep their hands to themselves when they see each other so often? Will their forbidden love flourish? Penny non si sentiva di essere un tipo di ragazza che potesse interessare a qualcuno. La colpa era sicuramente del suo ex Austin e di tutte le volte che, quando stavano insieme, l’aveva fatta sentire insignificante. Here again, we have the same drama and bullshit that is just carried over from the last installment, Eruption. This time the conflict isn't necessarily between Penny and James, which is a nice change of pace. They're involved, naturally, but it's not really between them the way it usually is. James' ex wife is still up to her jealous ways and trying to ruin everything.
