Their default sound profile is well-balanced and versatile enough for all kinds of audio content. You want audio fidelity: The sound quality is fine, but you'll get better quality for around the same price from the Cambridge Audio buds at #9 on this list– though you sacrifice the Earfun's other features to get it.
Apple’s Spatial Audio is another headline feature, and there’s even an all-new Adaptive Transparency mode, which is highly effective. Pressure and touch-sensitive controls add another layer of usability, with a simple swipe of the earbuds stem now adjusting volume, while the buds’ battery life has been boosted to six hours of listening with ANC engaging. For those that own an iPhone, iPad or MacBook, the brilliant AirPods Pro 2 are the wireless earbuds to buy. They don’t support wireless charging like the AirPods Pro 2, and the battery isn't spectacular at six hours per charge with 18 hours in the charging case with the ANC on. The ANC isn't best-in-class either – but they have more stability in the ear than anything else here, and that's the crucial thing. Next up is form. Do you intend to hit the gym, bike or pavement with your earbuds? Then you'll need a design that'll stay put. Or maybe small and minimal is what you're after, so opt for a pair of discrete true wireless buds. While exercising with the Tour Pro 2s, I could lightly touch the right earbud to pause or play music and switch between noise cancelling (ideal for deep concentration, but not-so-ideal for jogging outside) to ambient aware (great for environmental awareness) with ease. The buds stay in your ears while you're on the go, but get a little slippery as you begin to sweat with them in (which you can do without any worry of water damage, since the earbuds have a water-resisant IPX5 rating). You really value audio quality and can spend a little more: The Cambridge Audio buds at #9 on this list sound far better for those with a musical ear, but don't cost too much more.The JBL Tour Pro 2's innovative touchscreen case is so user-friendly and ahead of its time, even Apple is (reportedly) taking notes. Pause or play, reduce or increase the volume, switch from noise-canceling to ambient aware to talk-through mode, accept or reject calls, or even locate that missing left earbud, all through the touchscreen case. But there’s a lot more to love about the Melomania 1 Plus, including outstanding audio performance and an app that we found genuinely useful and easy to control during our testing.
