His immaturity combined with his alien outlook led him to believe that other than a few exceptional cases, human life wasn’t at all precious, and eventually after slaying the Mauler Twins in battle, he found himself at odds with his brother Mark. The Thraxxan’s were a mantis-like people that possessed a rare genetic quirk.They aged from birth to maturity to death within nine months.Their hierarchy was based on age and the eldest being on the planet ruled over all.

Nolan asked Mark to join him in taking over the planet. During his mission, Nolan met and fell in love with an Earth woman named Debbie, whom he later married and had their son, Mark. Nolan would continue to fight against supervillains as "Omni-Man", and became an ally of the Guardians of the Globe, a superhero team. In addition, Nolan would falsely tell Debbie, Cecil, and the costume maker Art Rosenbaum why he was on Earth.After taking a moment to consider his options, Oliver turned on his father and helped Allen defeat him.With Omni-man out of the way, Oliver returned to the Earth alongside Allen to dispose of the Earth-bound Viltrumites. The Scourge, part 1 Nolan Grayson managed to overlook the Viltrumites on Earth and saw how the Viltrumites changed for the better and see Earth as their new home.

Cecil is not convinced and says that he had never seen Nolan lose like that, but believed that somebody was acting clever. At home, Debbie reads, and sees Mark go to his room. She asks Nolan how bad the training had gone, and he says that he had pushed their son very hard, since it was what he needed. She asks if maybe he had pushed him too hard, which makes Nolan very mad. Debbie asks him what had gotten into him, and he admits he did not know, but thinks that maybe their lives would have been better if Mark had not gotten his powers.
