Considered a BHA (beta hydroxy acid), this skin-improving acid goes a little deeper than AHAs, really helping to deeply clear out pores. Derived from the bark of the willow tree, this soothing extract is rich in salicin. Fun fact – salicin is the natural source of pore-clearing salicylic acid and it’s also great for keeping hair follicles clear and discouraging ingrown hairs. Vitamin C Ester: This fast-absorbing form of vitamin C offers a time-release delivery for a steady flow of free radical protection and bright-boosting benefits that help to offset visible signs of environmental stressors, like dark spots. Sol de Janeiro is definitely most known for their cult favorite Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, probably even more known for the specific scent, which is a mix of pistachio, salted caramel and vanilla (which sounds right up my alley but something about it isn’t for me. I still might give it a try at some point though…) It’s delicious and lovely. Obsessed isn’t a strong enough word to describe how I feel about this scent!
