Set at a Publishers in France, I wanted to be a part of the Readers’ Room team. I could also see myself in the setting. How Antoine Laurain describes the city and Violaine’s workplace and home – it’s all so vivid and beautifully written. It is quite a descriptive book which some readers will love and others not so much. Everything is described in a lot of detail, plus there are a lot of characters too, some appear and then disappear again without adding much to the plot.
