About this deal

I ask whether he's ever been unemployed for any length of time - come on, some disappointment, some humiliation and rage. "Not that I've noticed. But that's because it takes me so long to do the fundamentals of day-to-day life that I could happily retire now and do the other things I want to be getting on with, and that would take me comfortably through to the end of my life." Rumpole is played by Julian Rhind-Tutt (The Witcher) and his formidable wife Hilda - She Who Must Be Obeyed - by Jasmine Hyde. They are supported by Stephen Critchlow, Nigel Anthony and Ewan Bailey in numerous roles.

As time passed Jane and Thomas looked forward to grandchildren and hoped that the new family name would continue, but one daughter Iny died at just 12-years-old, the other three remained spinsters and the two boys George and Charles were still single when their mother Jane died in 1899. Tom, who at 94 is the oldest member of the family said: "It was great to meet cousins and descendants of my grandfather’s siblings who I had never met before and really has been a joy to work with my younger cousins and nephew to put this book together. With a lifetime interest in electronics, radio and music technology, I have first hand experience of designing and making circuits as well as sourcing components. I know how important it is to have a convenient quantity of components supplied with correct specifications along with good quality and reliability. Q26 started with these principles in mind and we aim to offer you the standard of service we look for ourselves. And if you're neither a teacher nor student, if you are interested in how Music Technology works, this is for you. If you are thinking of setting up a studio in your home, buying some software to make your own Music or wondering what to equip yourself with next, 'Music Technology from Scratch' will answer most of your questions and help you get started. In the context of another actor's career - Harrison Ford's, say - this post-radio, pre-Green Wing period would sound like a limbo, a point where you're just pootling about having theories about Hugh Grant's acting style, and waiting for your big break. (Regarding the theorising, incidentally: "People may choose to criticise Hugh Grant, and say he's the same in every film, he just flutters around and does his thing. That's rubbish. Nobody does what he does better than he can. I've watched him. He has such extraordinary and pinpoint control over everything he does. He's a stealth bomber of poshness! He is a brilliant, brilliant actor. Because we can all have a pop. I could come on and faff around and be a bit posh and slightly hesitant, and so could countless other actors I could think of, and none of us could do it like he could. The same could be said of Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, and countless other people. Nobody does what they do better than them. You have to find your own truth.")The Rhind-Tutt family book tells the story of the Thomas Tutt of Wishford, sixth son of George Tutt and Elizabeth Mandrell and Jane Rhind of Paddington, only daughter of Charles who was the first postmaster in 1840 and mother Georgianna Castle secretary to Lady Knatchbull of Kent (who was a Niece of Jane Austen). With the Sixties swinging, Julian Rhind-Tutt gives us a Rumpole in his prime, recounting ten tales which find the tireless defender swapping sides to appear for the prosecution; coming to the aid of a doctor accused of unprofessional conduct; and suffering the indignity of wrongful arrest. We leave him facing a life-changing decision: after many years of falling in and out of love with both women, will he finally leave Hilda to be with Phyllida? I see that I do not have a shelf for humour. But what would I include except Wodehouse and Mortimer and Townsend?

I highly recommend this book - although it seems to be aimed at the Education market, 'Music Technology from Scratch' would suit anyone setting up a recording facility at home no matter what age of equipment and user!
