Hunters Lodge Fishery, Elsham, Brigg, North Lincolnshire is a four lake fishery complex situated in the beautiful surroundings of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Horseshoe Lake

The end pegs, Pegs 1 and 14 and 7 and 8, are again the shallowest with beds of lily pads in summer offering features for the fish. As a result, these are usually the most popular pegs with depths in summer as shallow as 18 inches to two feet making it easy pole or waggler fishing. The remainder of the pool has a shelf running about two feet out into the water before the banks drop to about six feet in the middle. Techniques and baits for fishing The big lake on the complex is Major Bill which is 7 acres in size. It’s a syndicate lake but is available for residents to fish. In here you will find catfish to 70lb, grass carp to 31lb, and mirror and common carp to 30lb. There is also plenty of other lakes which hold big fish. Willow Waters Fishery is a small private family-run fishing venue. There are 3 lakeside lodges available which really do look amazing with everything you need for a nice weekend away. Also known as the Silver Fish Lakes at Birch House Lakes, Mallard and Teal tend to be regarded as one water as they are both canal-style venues ideally suited for pole fishing. However, the larger of the two – the three canal 55-peg Mallard Lake – has a large rectangular bay at one end which also makes it suitable for either waggler, swimfeeder or straightforward ledger fishing.
