Dirty Coward: When Voldemort delivers an ultimatum to Hogwarts in Book 7 to either surrender Harry or face a massive siege, she's more than ready to turn him in. The coward part comes from how her arm is shaking as she points at Harry, which suggests that she is more afraid of Voldemort than loyal to him (although the two feelings aren't mutually exclusive among Death Eaters) after seeing him at the peak of his power for the past year.

In our series of aesthetic articles, we’ve always touched upon the less-than-savory associations of these seemingly ‘just for fun’ aesthetics. The Slytherin aesthetic is particularly suspect due to its association with the Slytherin house, which is basically Hogwarts’ club of aristocratic elites who are openly racist toward other wizards and witches who don’t hold the status of a pureblood. Nothing in J. K. Rowlings’s writing is random. This is an author that created a list of students’ names to use long before she created the actual characters. She knew from the beginning of the first book the exact role Professor Snape would play in Harry’s life as well as how the entire saga would end. So it is no surprise that she had a definite reason for using the colors she did when assigning each house two colors to represent them. J. K. Rowlings’s Element of Surprise Birds of a Feather: The basis for his and Scorpius's friendship: both are the gossiped-about children of famous fathers, both feel determined to break free of the past's legacy, and both have a well-intentioned troublemaking streak.Adaptation Personality Change: Downplayed, as their personalities stay mostly the same, but in the books there are subtle moments that imply that Crabbe is more vicious then Goyle and Malfoy, whilst Goyle is simply dumb. Fans have expanded on the houses’ color symbolism even further. On mugglenet.com, one fan commented on the metallic associations with three of the four houses and how Rowling might’ve used this as foreshadowing. Gryffindor is gold, Slytherin is silver and Ravenclaw is bronze. And in the final feast at the end of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (or Philosopher's Stone, outside of America), Dumbledore adjusts the houses’ points: “Gryffindor comes out on top with 482, with Slytherin in second place with 472, Ravenclaw in third with 426, and Hufflepuff in a distant fourth with 352.” The Chamber of Secrets, accessible only by the Heir of Slytherin, is similarly located under Hogwarts.Acrofatic: In the last book, Crabbe, despite being described as overweight, is mentioned as outrunning everyone who is trying to flee the Fiendfyre in the Room of Requirement. It doesn't save him though. Green represents Slytherin. This sounds contradictory at first when you consider green as a passive color that stands for stability and tranquility. Emo Teen: Albus's situation isn't great, but his brooding and self-pity take it over the top. Scorpius and Harry - both of whom had a tougher time growing up - eventually call him out on this. The most highly regarded theory of how each Hogwarts house got its colors will come straight from the author herself. Rowlings used certain colors to create specific emotions or traits in her writing. This is how many authors use color within their writing. When asked about the house colors, she remarked that the colors are loosely connected to the four elements. She used the idea of fire, water, earth, and sky as inspiration for both the school’s house colors as well as to identify what type of witch or wizard would belong in them. After all the hate mail (some of it cursed) this leads to, Hermione is rather satisfied whenever Pansy gets in trouble. Smug Snake: Seems to be his main personality trait.
