Children's Review: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J. K. Rowling". Publishers Weekly. 1 August 2000. Archived from the original on 4 February 2016 . Retrieved 29 July 2013. the writing style is fun as always, comparing to book one, it has improved a lot, now it's graceful & rich. Twitchy little ferret, aren’t you, Malfoy?” said Hermione scathingly, and she, Harry and Ron went up the marble staircase laughing heartily.

The themes of the book are also more mature and complex than in previous installments, with a focus on the dangers of prejudice, the consequences of ambition, and the importance of loyalty and friendship. These themes are woven seamlessly into the story, creating a powerful and thought-provoking narrative that appeals to readers of all ages. Bird, Elizabeth (7 July 2012). "Top 100 Chapter Book Poll Results". A Fuse #8 Production. Blog. School Library Journal (blog.schoollibraryjournal.com). Archived from the original on 13 July 2012 . Retrieved 8 December 2021. This was the beginning of my addiction to POTter. I had previously experimented with and enjoyed POTter on 3 different occasions, but could easily have walked away and never touched the stuff again. Then, under some pressure from some POTter HEAD peers of mine, I tried the newest blend called the Goblet...and everything changed. As the warm, easy, potato chip prose crossed my blood-brain barrier, euphoria ensued. My inner child was smitten. In which Harry, left alone in Dumbledore’s office, sees some glimpses of the past in Dumbledore’s Pensieve: Karkaroff giving evidence before a court of wizards, Crouch’s son being sentenced to Azkaban. Harry tells Dumbledore about his dream, and the headmaster speculates on its meaning. In which the Triwizard judges try to decide how Harry was selected, argue and finally accept the fact. Few believe that Harry did not enter his own name; Ron is not one of the few. all the predicaments the Trio should struggle through made by Rita Skeeter, bullies & the mean students, but they didn't cower or hide, they held their head high & ignoring them.

However, this book was too long. I wish that Rowling shortened the book, cutting out Rita Skeeter, Quidditch, and The Yule Ball. She could have easily sold these bits of Harry Potter as short stories. The book is a thrilling and complex blend of mystery, adventure, and coming-of-age themes, as Harry and his friends Ron and Hermione navigate the challenges of the tournament while also dealing with the emergence of Voldemort’s followers, who pose a growing threat to the wizarding world. In which Voldemort tries again to kill Harry but their spells clash, shades of Voldemort’s victims emerge from his wand, and Harry escapes through the Portkey. Karkaroff tells Snape about the mark of his arm. Snape ignores him and removes house points from Fawcet and Stebbins, who briefly appear in the scene. Snape doesn't care about what Karkaroff has to say. This is the fourth book of the Harry Potter series, I have read all of them up to four, and a quarter of the fifth. I have read this one three times (maybe two and a half). I love Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire so much I read it in every second of spare time I've had, even at school! In this book the Triwizard Tournament is held at Hogwarts. The Triwizard Tournament is a competition between three wizarding schools, Beauxbatons, Durmstrang and Hogwarts. It is a competition involving three unknown tasks. Though you have to be 17 or over to enter, someone put Harry's name in the goblet and he ends up competing. Could the whole tournament be a trap? But Sirius shook his head and said. “She’s got the measure of Crouch better than you have, Ron. If you want to know what a man’s like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.” Mrs. Weasley is legit one of the best moms ever and you can feel her love for all of her kids including Hermione and Harry. So yes, this a Molly Weasley appreciation moment and I still think that she is one of the most underrated characters in the entire series! I love that woman! <3 After the events of the Quidditch World Cup and Harry’s accidental selection into the Triwizard Tournament, Harry is left with very little support when Ron suspects that Harry must have deliberately put his name in the Goblet of Fire. They eventually stop talking to each other, and despite Hermione’s frantic attempts to make them talk again, very little happens. During a press conference for the champions, Harry meets Rita Skeeter, a reporter who ends up writing a lot of false details and exaggerated facts about Harry in the newspaper. Eventually, as the day for the first task approaches closer, Harry is tipped off by Mad Eye Moody to visit Hagrid, who shows him that the first task is facing a dragon. Harry, out of courtesy, also informs Cedric about the task.
