Originally, I didn’t give this 5 stars cause I didn’t like how Lucy was subjected to all that emotional manipulation and while I support showing emotions and that things can hurt us and that it’s okay to cry, I wish Hadley didn’t dump that load on her sometimes. While the ex was pretty standard and what you'd expect, I actually really enjoyed the way Hadley learned to stop taking shit from him, and his family. Additionally, it served as a marker of character growth within Hadley, and to be quite honest, it was just fun to see Elijah and Hadley both verbally annihilate Scott (i think that was his name) and his horrible trash-can of a mom.
