About this deal

The great part about this light is the LED, which is the Samsung LH351D and right now you can get it in: 2700k, 4000k, and 5000k. All of them are good, but I am particularly partial to the 5000k in this LED. It offers a fantastically clean light. It is high CRI, above 90, but the light is incredibly neutral in tone for how white it is. Typically you don’t see that, so if you want to make your 4000k SST-20 look warm and cozy, shine it next to this LED. So naturally what I have selected here is the 5000k variant, but the 2700k is a good grab too. Charging looks pretty good if a little slow at around 1A. The time required is over 4 hours, and termination voltage is a little low at around 4.15V.

This effectively renders OFF>>HOLD useless. Alternatively, this effectively renders the memory state useless.

Super versatile, neat design, great functionality thanks to Andúril 2.0. Love the fact, that it works as a powerbank too. There's PWM on all levels aside from maximum, but it's very fast and only detectable with instruments. The FC11 comes with a Wurkkos branded 3000 mAh unprotected button-top 18650. All 18650 batteries I have available work in the FC11 and can be charged internally. As a direct-drive light, voltage sag affects output, and tested output was higher with a VTC6 than the included battery. There's low-voltage protection with a hard cutoff. Here’s a couple beamshots with a Sofirn SC31B SST-20 4000K (95 CRI) for comparison. Side by side, the FC11 was noticeably more floody and brighter… as you’d expect. The LH351D has a larger die area and has been shown to put out more lumens vs the High CRI SST-20’s. It is a little weaker on turbo. I was quite amazed at how much the Sofirn managed to light up the whole forest on my nighttime stroll. But the Wurkkos is not that bad. And that white...

Memory mode supposedly leaves the lamp in your previous manually set intensity (steeped or ramped). I consider “very warm” lights to be fantastic for around the house at night lights. Lights that won’t be abrasive, and potentially disturb sleepers with their coolness. The 2700K of this light is perfect in that regard. Also the high CRI (or “higher” CRI at 90) is great for this purpose, too.The FC11 starts out bright: rated at 1300 lumens, I measured around 1600. There is a timed stepdown around 90 seconds, jumping down to ~400 lumens. At that point, the head only measured 35°C. If there’s one gripe I have about this flashlight, it’s that I’d really prefer temperature regulation instead of timed stepdown. Low voltage cutoff on mine was at 2.85V. Charge termination at 4.10V. Size wise there are a lot of similar lights to the FC11. Length and diameter wise the Convoy S2+ is basically identical but my S2+ is the UV model so not a great comparison for beam shots. My Thrunite TC15 is about 7mm longer and about 1.5mm larger in diameter. Great review, yours are helping me decide between this (but at 4000K), the TS21 and the Sofirn SC31 Pro.
