About this deal

Fearless? You would be surprised to know that this book is a love story. Every book about heroes is a love story. Jake Montone: Jake is Gaia's third romantic interest, after Sam and Ed. He is well trained in martial arts and is very popular at their school. Gaia isn't initially interested in Jake, but begins to date him after he helps her rescue her father and put an end to her grandfather Yuri's terrorist organization. He dies at the end of the series after he jumps in the path of a bullet meant for Gaia. Fearlesschronicles the life of Adam Brown — from humble birth to tragic death. The book tells the story of his wife's courage and persistant love. The book communicates the heroism of SEAL Team Six. The book conveys the pathos of war. Most importantly, Fearless shows how the love of Jesus can change a sinner's heart. Adam’s shenanigans throughout this high school years made you wonder if he’d live to graduate. But he did. When his three best buddies went off to college, Adam seemed to lose his sense of purpose. He got into the wrong crowd and did what he never thought he’d ever do–street drugs, which led to jail time. This went on for some years, until he met his sweetheart, Kelley, whom he married, had a son and eventually a daughter, and was guided into the service. How he got into the service is a story in itself! Don't take away someone's belief that makes them happy unless you can give them something better instead."

Katia Moore: Gaia's mother and love interest of Oliver "Loki" Moore, she was accidentally killed in an assassination attempt meant for her husband Tom. Fearless is the story of a man of extremes, whose courage and determination were fueled by faith, family, and the love of a woman. It’s about a man who waged a war against his own worst impulses, including drug addiction, and persevered to reach the top tier of the U.S. military. In a deeply personal and absorbing chronicle, Fearless reveals a glimpse inside the SEAL Team SIX brotherhood, and presents an indelible portrait of a highly trained warrior whose final act of bravery led to the ultimate sacrifice. I don't want to throw out too many spoilers to the story, but I think that it needs to be mentioned that he became a part of Seal Team 6 (on the highest tier of the US military - the top 1% as they say), with only his left eye and left hand functioning. He managed to overcome injuries to himself and still be able to function at that top level - that is just too amazing, and only through God was that possible. Look at the Fox Memorial Day video to him which explains a bit more about this aspect of his life. Sam Moon: Sam Moon is a college student and Gaia's first romantic love interest in the book. He is first shown to be dating Heather, but begins dating Gaia after Heather breaks up with him. Sam is temporarily believed to be dead after his RA Josh shoots him, but was actually held captive at Loki's stronghold. He's eventually rescued by Gaia, but their reunion is strained once he realizes she is dating Ed. He does not return in the story until the last book, where he is shown escorting Heather to the prom.Mary Moss: A drug user introduced in the fourth book, Mary befriended Gaia but was eventually killed by Loki after he thought that she was growing too close to Gaia. Last week I received a copy of a book called “Fearless” by Eric Blehm to review. Little did I know when I started this book that by the end of it, I would be moved to emotion like I rarely am. This book is a game changer on so many levels. I honestly won’t be able to find the words in this review to express how much I wish people would get a copy and read it for themselves. It is the remarkable story of one man, his story, his struggles, his humility, his family, his addictions and oh, by the way, he was a member of the “Green Team” on SEAL team six (the same SEAL team that killed Osama Bin Laden). Again, I struggle with words to give this book a full review.

What I do want to commend, however, are the obviously beautiful souls shining brightly through this mess. Beyond the shaky structure of this poorly-told story are the genuinely admirable individuals whose hard work, failures, and triumphs culminate in the ultimate loss and sacrifice of one man: Adam Brown. His wife, Kelley Brown, their children, and Adam's parents, siblings, and entire family all had a hand in playing intricate roles in creating, defining, supporting, and loving him every step of the way. Most importantly, I marvel at the grace of God. Eric Brown's life, just as it is with anyone who has been redeemed, is a testament to God's infinite love and kindness. I was encouraged to be a channel of this kindness to others, and a faithful witness of his gospel. There are Eric Browns all around us. They need Jesus, not our judgment. They need grace. Have you ever thought about the type of men who feel called (or led) to voluntarily signing-up for the most physically challenging and dangerous career in our military? Who are these courageous men who put their lives willingly on the line daily to protect the freedoms we enjoy in America? By 19, she was world No.4, holding her own against Monica Seles, Martina Hingis and Lindsay Davenport. She was the world No.9 in doubles. Fearless was so captivating that it was difficult to put it down, even though I knew how it had to end. In the act of protecting his fellow Navy SEALs, and American freedom, Adam Brown gave the ultimate sacrifice. And his story is well worth reading. Tom Moore: The father of Gaia and D Moore, Tom is also the twin brother of Oliver. He is a CIA field agent that went by the codename Enigma, but previously worked as a Green Beret. After his brother killed his wife Katia, Tom sent Gaia away in hopes of saving her from death and danger.

Everyone has been hearing about the Navy SEAL novel "No Easy Day". I personally think the guy who wrote it may have put himself and family and other SEAL team members in harmsway. Fearless is the story of a man of extremes, whose courage and determination was fueled by faith, family, and the love of a woman. It’s about a man who waged a war against his own worst impulses and persevered to reach the top tier of the US military. Always the first to volunteer for the most dangerous assignments, Adam’s final act of bravery led to the ultimate sacrifice." ~ from Publisher's description Harrison, Judy (Dec 6, 1999). " 'Fearless' aims for teen reader". Bangor Daily News . Retrieved 18 October 2013. Eric Blehm, New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestselling author’s new release, “Fearless” arrives Tuesday, May 22. It’s an amazing narrative about “SEAL Team SIX’s most legendary operator,” Adam Brown, a member of the same SEAL team “… counterterrorism unit that took down Osama bin Laden…” Long before Adam Brown became a member of the elite SEAL Team SIX—the counter terrorism unit that took down Osama bin Laden—he was a fun-loving country boy from Hot Springs, Arkansas, whose greatest goal had been to wear his high school’s football jersey. An undersized daredevil, prone to jumping off roofs into trees and off bridges into lakes, Adam was a kid who broke his own bones but would never break a promise to his parents. At 17 she reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon. By September 2000 she became an Olympian and finished fourth at the Sydney Games.

I very much hope this book will help and inspire you. I look forward to sharing this new journey with you. We can all thrive and live fearlessly. But long before Adam Brown became a member of the elite SEAL Team Six--the counter terrorism unit that took down Osama bin Laden--there was a fun-loving country boy from Arkansas whose greatest goal had been to wear his high school's football jersey. An undersized daredevil, prone to jumping off roofs into trees and off bridges into lakes, Adam was a kid who broke his own bones but would never break a promise to his parents, until he grew older, and his family watched that appetite for risk draw him into a downward spiral that eventually landed him in jail. She was heralded as Australia’s greatest tennis hope since Evonne Goolagong. She had exceptional skills, a steely nerve and an unrivalled fight on the court. I would say this is basically a man's book. It will appeal mostly to men. However, it behooves all Americans to know this story. And to know the story, the book should be read. Is this "Southern Lady of-a-certain-age" glad she read it? Yes! You see, I had no concept of what our military endured and sacrificed for us until I read it. Now I've had a glimpse into that world. Timmy: A classmate of Gaia that is later revealed to be a rapist after a failed attempt to rape Gaia. He is eventually arrested for his crimes. As a conclusion: I don't read many contemporary military books because there often is too much pathos for me (or at least pathos of the wrong sort that feels fake) or I question the accuracy (especially when the military members didn't write the books themselves or when it is about top secret stuff because I can't imagine the respective government to sign off on such data being released already). Instead, I usually focus on military history books. But this book gave a glimpse at the man Adam Brown, not just the operator - and at his unyielding will to protect, to make the world a better place, or to at least make up for the bad things he had done previously. I'm thankful for our military. While I am not a fan of the ra-ra-beat-em-up-kill-em-all-send-em-to-hell approach to our nation's defense, I do appreciate those who serve in the armed forces. I am especially thankful for those, like Adam Brown, who bring compassion and maturity to their task. Ella and George Niven: The wife of George Niven, Tom's old CIA friend. She and her husband initially act as Gaia's guardians, but are actually sleeper agents working for Loki. Ella is infatuated with Loki and is enraged when she realizes that Loki was going to move to Europe without telling her. She is eventually murdered by one of Loki's assassins. Her husband George isn't trusted as much as Ella due to George's friendship with Tom. After his wife's death he becomes more and more disillusioned with himself until he is assassinated by Loki himself. The series takes place in the 1990s and focuses on Gaia Moore, who is a seventeen-year-old girl at the beginning of the series, and who is incapable of feeling fear. [5] Fearless focuses predominantly on Gaia's interactions and relationships with the people around her, as well as her search for an explanation for her condition and her struggle to feel like a normal teenager. [6] The series is told primarily in three story arcs, each of which has its own primary antagonist, and concludes with Gaia graduating from high school.
