About this deal

With Hi-Res audio verification, Studio Pro-50 is an over-ear DJ headphone that has dynamic bass sound. The design is one of the best I’ve seen in affordable headphones and rivals that of much more expensive models. This switch is great because you can preserve battery life as well as easily toggling between the noise cancellation when it’s wanted or not wanted. Despite the clean nature to the sound signature, trebles are not too bright - there's texture and finesse to tams, shakers and cymbals, without ever sounding shrill or edgy.

Much like other Bluetooth headphones or TWS earbuds, setting up the OneOdio A30 is pretty straightforward. Please note that this is an ‘over ear’ pair of headphones which the vast majority of people prefer, not ‘on ear’ where the earcups are sitting on top of your ears, not covering them. Everything feels a little tighter, and the volume seems a little quieter, so you may have to crank it up a little louder.cable into the jack and continue to use the headphones, firstly to save battery (you can still use ANC+wired and get up to 62 hours) and secondly to just keep using them after the battery has run out altogether, is a big bonus. The focus on the midrange, with a recessed lower frequency response permits a perceived sense of depth and positioning, and allows for good separation - it's easy to separate instruments and locate exactly where they are around you.

So for my sound tests, I hooked up the Pro-50 Studio to my LG V60 smartphone with the ESS hi-fi Quad DAC engaged. It does have a peak in the upper section, though, which often makes it overly bright, almost to the point of being strident. We're not sure whether that's truly needed for studio work, but it helps with that 'jack of all trades' vibe. The top headrest of the headphones are also adjustable so that you can adjust it to the size of your head where it sits comfortably. In fact they epitomise the kind of sound signature that I don’t like: there is no balance whatsoever, making it so that bass leaks over mids and treble has wild peaks that make it fatiguing. In terms of comfort, you have high quality padding on the top of your head as well as over the ears too.

They’re sleek, modern and elegant, with none of the gaudiness found in the OneOdio models I’ve previously reviewed. First impressions of the A10 are very good - the headphones have a robust feel, without feeling too heavy, thanks to a combination of smart ergonomics and quality materials. The fit is very comfortable and the look is very subtle as far as over-ears go - I found myself only making occasional micro-adjustments, and the low clamping force means your ears won't get too sweaty, which is always a big bonus, but on the flip side it can occasionally result in some sound leakage, and comfort is optimised over noise reduction. I purchased a set of these A 10 head phones only a few months ago and find that the battery only lasts about 5 hours , from 100 percent … maybe I got a set with a bad battery… very dissatisfied with them….It's a balanced sound, with no obvious exaggeration across the spectrum, so if it's sub-bass you want, you may want to EQ the sound in your audio player. At 245g, the OneOdio A10 are on the lighter side of average for over-ear wireless headphones, which bodes well for comfort. TaoTronics’ budget SoundSurge 60 headphones are well made but blighted by a muddy, wayward bass, while Anker’s Soundcore Life Q20 perform well wirelessly but poorly when you use the bundled auxiliary cable.

Anyway l just wanted to chip in with some hopefully helpful advice as you said its a field your not into. That said, I adjusted the bass quite a bit through Wavelet and saw no distortion at all, so if you really do want more grunt to your subbass it is possible to tweak them to your liking.
