About this deal

I enjoyed the flashbacks to Christian’s childhood, his relationship with Leila and his relationship with Elena. Though I had known the story already, Christian's point of narration gave an altogether new perspective to the plot. When this space could have been better utilised by more flashbacks, and more insight into Christian’s thoughts, it is irritating to see how much of the narrative was wasted on non-events. Read more about the condition Very Good: A book that has been read and does not look new, but is in excellent condition.

Christian’s story obviously goes further to shed light on what he is feeling throughout Anastasia’s story, and it doesn’t disappoint. Christian Grey’s candid narrative gives the familiar story a raw, passionate and much sexier context … the Ana that Christian Grey sees: sexy, seductive, witty and in his own words “a siren”. E L James revisits the world of Fifty Shades with a deeper and darker take on the love story that has enthralled millions of readers around the globe. You are cordially invited to the wedding of the decade, when Christian Grey will make Anastasia Steele his wife. There are many instances where Christian has a mental word with himself – “Shut her down, Grey” and “Get a grip, Grey” which just get a bit boring after a while. Christian Grey exercises control in all things; his world is neat, disciplined, and utterly empty - until the day that Anastasia Steele falls into his office, in a tangle of shapely limbs and tumbling brown hair.

Elliot, Christian’s older brother, runs a successful construction company that specializes in eco-friendly housing.

So one word from a humble reviewer who was itching to get her thoughts on paper as soon as she’d finished texting her buddy reader.

It's one thing to ogle him from a distance, but quite another to be inside his fifty-shades-of-fucked-up head. I know some people have said he comes across a bit whipped or a wuss at the end but I liked the end - the fact he was that upset at loosing her was nice to read, lets not forget Ana is the only girl who he has ever let get this close to him. In Christian's own words, and through his thoughts, reflections, and dreams, E L James offers a fresh perspective on the love story that has enthralled hundreds of millions of readers around the world. I enjoyed being encouraged to look at the plot from a different angle and I enjoyed being given the hints to Christian’s thoughts and reactions, although I would have preferred more than just hints at times. The biggest flaw with the 50 Shades trilogy is James repetitive writing style and her use of phrasing that belongs in a bygone era. P/S: Flipped to the last page and found out that this book only covers the first book in the trilogy. It is different than Anastasia’s story in that it takes the reader into his world, showing several of his nightmares and flashes of memory.

The result was the controversial and sensuous romance Fifty Shades of Grey and its two sequels, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed .I understand that the thoughts were those of a child, but the writing was in broken sentences and made him sound "Special". Mad at myself for PAYING for this and then reading it even though I knew what it was going to be, having read the original trilogy a time or three. Furthermore, in switching vantage points, James sadly demonstrates a glaring inability to depict a convincing male perspective.
