an incredibly thorough book which is very well illustrated - a must in a book explaining how to perform examinations' - ("Medical Student Review"). When logging into the online content also the videos are a great visual way of consolidating what has been learnt/read in the section/chapter. It takes you through each system in a methodical manner and not so in depth that it becomes mind boggling. It covers general principles, relevant history, examination and investigations for all the major body systems and how to effectively apply these skills to specific clinical situations and prepare for assessment.

There are snippets of imaging to help the reader familiarise themselves with it and where it can be used. Nevertheless you will like it but the desire to obtain classic print, printed in great Britain remains unfulfilled.Fifty years since it was first published and now fully revised, Macleods remains the textbook of choice for medical students, junior doctors, nurses and allied health practitioners who understand that excellence in clinical examination is integral to good practice.
